Making (realistic) Mommy New Years Resolutions

The new year is about to roll in once more. Surely you must’ve been thinking out a few mommy new years resolutions to fit into the next twelve months. However, most of us have the habit of self-sabotaging. We set goals which are either incredibly hard to achieve or down right impossible (lose thirty kilograms in two weeks). Realistic Mommy New Year Resolutions#1: Make Your Bed Every Morning

Sometimes, it’s easy to slip into a habit of lethargy. Making the bed seems like a tedious chore. You can vaguely hear your moms voice, nagging in the back of your head at the thought of it. But, by doing this small, insignificant thing in the morning, you will be giving yourself a small accomplishment to kick start our day with.

#2: Put Your Face On

Whether you blow dry your hair, put on a basic face of makeup, or shave your legs, do something little for yourself every day. This isn’t to ensure you remain aesthetically pleasing. But when you look good, you feel good. This will also help you realize that you do have a little bit of time for yourself every day.

#3: Be Kind To Yourself

This is one of the most important, and probably hardest resolutions on the list. Try talking kindly to yourself in the new year. Instead of berating yourself for things you didn’t do, ty celebrating your achievements for things which you did.

#4: Don’t Be Afraid Of Help

Often, moms can carry the stigma that they are a weight on those around them. But in the new year, you need to shed these negative thoughts. Don’t be too proud to ask for help when you need it (and we all need it some times).

#5: Make your Health A Priority

In saying this we don’t mean you should throw out your entire fridge and sign up for your nearest boot camp. Those are unrealistic expectations on yourself. Rather, try work in a small, but intense work out into your day. At the same time, start eating at least one healthy thing daily. By making these small goals a habit, you will be able to start turning your life to the healthier side sooner.
